Creed's 4th Birthday

Happy Birthday Creed!!! Creed had his 4th birthday party Tuesday night. We had pizza and then cake and ice cream with the family!!!! Creed got lots of new toys and a brand new pair of boots :)

My sweet loving husband is in need of some major knee surgery :( We ended up in the e.r. yesterday morning because his knee just kind of fell apart. He has an appointment today for an MRI, then the surgery to follow sometime in the next week. He is on crutches at the moment and milking every moment of it. The kids and I are his little gopher's. It will be interesting to see what we turn into after the surgery. Hope all goes well and will keep an update on the progress and how much this lovely knee will cost us :)

Merry Christmas Everyone!!!!! I know this will shock you, but the picture above of the snowman.... well I actually made that!!!! Yep thanks to Baylee for cutting out the pattern!!! I am crafty~ who would have thought~ I set this Santa up every year... He actually means a lot to me. My grandma Higgs gave him to me my very first Christmas:) I was three months old. My mom has kept him that long, and when we bought our house she let me take him..... My Grandma passed away last February, this is my first Christmas without her.

Creed is really not a Santa fan... you would think he would be over his stage fright by now. It takes all I got to get him to sit up there....

Poor Creed, we had to wake him up... as always... Trey on the other hand was pacing circles down in his room, waiting for us to come get him.

Holy cow!!! The boys got spoiled..... My goal for this year was to NOT get too many toys. We wanted Santa to bring them things that were useful.... The boys got fishing poles, tackle boxes, sleeping bags, Trey got some new wrestling shoes.... the list goes on and on.

Bold and I bought the boys a set of blocks to build pretty much anything their little hearts desired... I even think they are fun to play with :)

Of course we can't have Christmas without new cowboy hats!!!!

Grandpa and Cindy gave the boys fleece sweaters with these vests... SO CUTE!! Thanks

I hope my boys had a great Christmas!!! Trey got a lot of big boy stuff!!! I sure hope I can trust him with it... He got a new pocket knife as well as a new bb gun with a scope....

Christmas Lights

First off, this is our Christmas tree this year!!!! I LOVE IT!!!! Its not quite as big as the one last year LOL but it is so perfectly round!!! We decided to put it in front of the window this year.... I really like it. Second, as I mentioned in my other post we went to Lehi on Thursday to visit my grandpa.... I am so glad my kids and I got to visit with him. This is a picture of my Aunt's house whom my grandpa lives with, her house is all decked out with lights......

(this picture is terrible, but you get the idea)...... Every inch of her house and yard is covered with some type of light...... She said her and her neighbor try to out-do each other so if you will notice the neighbor's house is just as decked out!!!! hahaha!!!

Can I just tell you that this was the first time in my life I have been extremely grateful to not have daughters!!!! Creed took it upon himself to cut his hair. If he had been a girl, I might have sat down and cried :( He cut all over the top of this head, clear down to the scalp. (tear, tear). Trey tried this stunt in Sept. So Creed thought that maybe it was his turn.... AGH!!! The frustration!!! Trey's hair is just starting to come back, long enough to somewhat comb..... now Creed has to try it!!!!! Bold decided the best thing to do would be buzzing it. My heart was pounding, Creed has the prettiest hair and it's so curly in the back....well no more...... it will be a good year before it is grown out again.

BOO!!!! BOO!!!! I can hardly look at these without crying :( All that handsome hair gone forever.

Bring on the snow!!!! It is winter after all!!! This is all the snow we have gotten since last winter in Leamington!!! The boys LOVE, LOVE, LOVE to play in the snow and go sledding....BRING ON THE SNOW!!!! They were so excited for this little skiff that they both got all bundled up and went to play in it.

Temple Square

The boys, my mom and dad, and I went up north yesterday to go visit my grandpa in Lehi and then catch the trax train up to Temple Square. We stopped off at Grandpas first to give him his Christmas, it was so good to see him. I have never been on the trax train and it was kinda fun, not the thrill of my life but it was fun. It was a bit nerve racking never know when some whack-o will get on but we managed. If you already haven't noticed I forgot my camera. I will post some pictures in the next post of my aunt's house.... it is all decked out for Christmas, I don't think there was an inch of her house that didn't have a light on it. It was so nice to go up to the Temple and get in the Christmas spirit!!!

Rodney Carrington + Wendover = FUN!!!

Whew!!!! Its been a while since I have posted anything!!! I just want to recap a few of the things we have done since Halloween. Bold, the boys and I went to RiJeana's for Thanksgiving over in Nephi. It was an awesome meal and I didn't even eat a peice of pie.... Bold and I got tickets for Rodney back in August and have been patiently waiting for the day to arrive...... but first, Bold got a call from his buddy Thursday night informing him that his buddies' sister had two extra tickets to the NFR!!!! Well you can't really pass that up so the two guys headed down to Las Vegas Friday afternoon........ come saturday morning they still weren't home....... Appearantly they had a suite at the rodeo with free drinks and food all night long, an awesome gift bag full of awesome goodies, a hummer limo ride to the hotel, they stayed at the Mirage...... needless to say we had to meet them in Wendover for the concert Saturday night. The concert was AWESOME!!!! My mom came over and watched the boys.. Heather, Rijeana, and I drove out to Wendover and met the guys. We waited for them for a couple of hours but passed the time at the Nugget playing roulet...lol..... It was a fun weekend spent with other adults. Heath and Terecsia, and another couple met us at the concert as well..... All Hail to Rodney Carrington!!! Hope to see you again next year!!! Thanks for the awesome entertainment!!!

Halloween 2011

What perfect weather to have Halloween this year!!!! It was so nice the kids could actually show off their costumes to everybody without having to wear coats:) Trey was a ninja and Creed was a little pirate.... I love Halloween!!! We went all around Leamington and got FULL bags of candy... way to go boys!!!!

Creed's 1st dentist visit

How lucky is Creed to have a dentist office right next to my work???? And double lucky that it so convenient to get him there???? And thirdly, how lucky is he that his friend Angela (her mom watches Creed @ daycare) works there!!!

Creed did really well for his first "real" check-up!! I am so proud of him, he is growing up way too fast. He did have to get one cavity filled but he did awesome... He does have a little scab between his nose and his lip, if you will notice, he was jumping on the tramp and miscalculated...., the tooth went through the lip, but all is good :) Also, we have been working on the whole potty training thing and I am 99% sure he has finally got it!!! WHOOP WHOOP.... I have been buying diapers for over 8 years..... this is totally awesome!!! I am more excited I don't have to buy anymore diapers than you could ever imagine:) Did I say Whoop Whoop!!!!!

Creed and I make the trek over to Nephi almost every day to go to work.... um this particular day I was driving along running the never ending worries through my head, jamming to good 'ol country music, when I hear Creed yelling, "I can't see, I can't see"...... I looked over and somehow he had dug to the bottom of my purse, grabbed one of my "in case of emergencies"

(If you get my drift), and stuck it to his face.... oh boy, these kids never cease to amaze me!!

G'pa Finlinson

Trey and I took the long way home from Delta the other day. We stopped in Oak City to visit G'pa Finlinson, (Bold's Grandpa). Trey LOVES to walk around cemetery's and check out all the graves, not sure why but it's always been an obsession with him. We also like to remind him of all the great ancestors he has and the stories they have.

Bold had told his Grandpa on Christmas Eve 2003 that we were expecting Trey in a few months, G'pa died sometime that night :(

Not much has gone on since the state fair, we have both just been working. I have been canning like a mad woman, I have done salsa, v8 juice, tomatoes, and pears :) I have my house decked out for Halloween already and I have got the kids' costumes ready to go. We gave all but one of our little kittens away, I am glad they could go to good homes. We inherited a puppy from my brother ~ I am trying to get the hang of a little puppy around. I forgot how much work those little stinkers are, I should have just had another baby. LOL Trey is doing a lot better in school, I was able to take the day off and Bold and I went to school lunch today with him. It was so fun to spend some time together with our boys. Creed and I went to a few stores in Delta to see if we could catch anything on sale. hahaha, we went to RC Staples and happened to find a pair of pants on sale ~I figured my birthday is coming up I might as well buy myself a little something in advance.... Then we went to the D.I. were I scored some softball cleats for myself and some t shirts for a buck.... rock on :) Then off to Alco where we saw tons of cute Fall decorations but I am turning into a tight wad and I will be back for them when they are 50% off or higher.... lol.

Once again it is time for the state fair!!! I love taking my boys up to ride the rides and to see and do all the fun things:) We left about noon and headed up. Bold rides in the rodeo so we don't like walking around all day, that gives us just enough time to make a couple laps before the rodeo:) We started off with the boys riding the mechanical bull, then off to the wheelchair rental place where we had to get Bold a wheelchair.... its the only way I can get him to go through the whole fair with me, but it has a dual purpose....#1 somewhere to hang all the bags of goodies we buy and #2 everyone moves out of your way.. hahaha. He said he is going to start getting a wheelchair every year... Anyhoo the boys went to a few booths and rode on some ponies.... Then it was time for the rodeo!!! The boys LOVE to do the mutton bustin'!!! Both Trey and Creed are old enough so we went ahead and signed them up. The guy said there were only 13 sheep so chances of getting in were slim..... well both boys' names were announced and they were able to ride. Creed came flying out of the gate and actually stayed on halfway across the arena, I was so proud of him. He got a belt buckle for trying so hard:) ((( his first EVER))) he is so proud of it... A little girl came barreling out next and she rode awesome!!! I thought for sure she was the winner, which would be devastating for Trey because he got beat by a girl last year... there is one incentive to the sheep riding at the state fair....THE WINNING OF A BRAND NEW BIKE....!!!!!>>> Bold told Trey that the little girl was going to win if he didn't bare down and hang on NO MATTER WHAT!! ~~ side note~~ Trey has been talking about winning this bike ever since the first year we signed him up~~~* Trey turned to Bold and said, "Dad, I am going to use all my strength and hang on, I just really want that bike." Now if that don't melt your heart I don't know what will.... Out comes Trey on his sheep, Burg and I are cheering as loud as we can.... the sheep runs across the arena with Trey death gripping nothing but wool, the sheep and Trey hit the fence head on, knocks the sheep a little silly, it turns around a bit tipsy and Trey is still holding on!!!! The sheep jet's back across the arena when the clown peels Trey off the sheep and holds him up in the air for the crowd to see then Trey starts waving his hands like Lane Frost does in the movie 8 Seconds, it actually brought tears to my eyes since Trey is always talking about seeing Lane Frost when he gets to heaven!!! Trey is currently the Mutton Bustin' arena record holder with a 97 point ride:) I have never been prouder of that boy in his entire life!!! It was AWESOME!!! They brought all the kids out to the arena and presented Trey with his new bike, the clown told him to ride it around the arena:) I guess if you really want something bad enough in life you will do everything you can to get it:) I will have to post some pictures of the ride after I get them from the rodeo photographer....I sure do love my boys and am so proud of both of them for doing such a great job!!!

Caves

These pictures aren't all that great, but my mom and I took the boys out to Leiman Caves the first part of August. We took the tent and stayed on Wheeler peak, took a tour of the caves, and my mom took us geo-caching:)

Tooth Fairy

Trey has always been an over-achiever!! He lost not one but both of his front teeth :) The tooth fairy had her hands full with this one. They have been loose for a while, we have been waiting for them to just fall out but when we noticed the new teeth were trying to come in behind them Trey decided it was time to yank them out, thanks to one tough mom and some dental floss we got them out a couple days before he started second grade.... What a way to start off the new school year. The tooth fairy left Trey ten dollars for his first teeth being a double whammy:) Trey sure is growing up. He is such a handsome young man.... Love you bud:)

My boys were able to ride in the little bicycle parade in Lynndyl. Its not much but to the kids it is awesome. Here is little Creed peddling his trike as fast as it will go to keep up. All the little kids follow the fire truck around the block and all the parents snap pictures :)

Momma kitty. a.k.a. Meow Me. a.k.a. Rambo II just had a new litter of kittens, we have four new kittens:) two black ones, a calico, and a black and white one. They are just so dang cute and the boys are really excited to have something new to play with. I am sure we won't be able to keep them all but we will love on them as long as we have them. They are growing like weeds, they now have their eyes open and are roaming around the windowell...:)

Creed climbed up on the counter and got the sugar canister all by himself!!! ( surprise, surprise) Here he is just content as can be eating sugar with a spoon and watching cartoons....

and here he is going in for the dive..... best part was he had no idea I was taking pictures.... he thought he was home free with a sugar high. hahahaha

He must have missed some going into his mouth... mom's not watching so I will just smear it into the floor.... nice try SUGAR BABY :)

4th of July

The Boys and I headed over to Fillmore for the parade and games in the park. I love to watch the parade and the kids love chasing after all the candy!! It was hot but not too bad...

Who is the cutest baby in the world????....... Andee.... ahhhh how cute she is!!!... almost makes me want a little girl......NOT!! But she is soooo cute, love those chubby cheeks :)

Almost 90% of the time Trey flat out refuses to wear anything other than "cowboy attire", it was like 85 degrees and still he is out in the sun with pants and long sleeved shirt.

After the parade we headed over to the park to play games, the boys wanted to play on the bouncy toys then Trey got dunked in the dunk tank a couple of times ( in his underwear) ha ha ha!!! After a couple hours at the park we headed up to Oakley to pick Bold up and watch the fireworks!!!

Lake Tahoe

Bold and I had the opportunity to go to Reno over the weekend, we decided to take the time and go up to Tahoe. We have never been up there. It is beautiful!!! Bold sitting on the beach :)

Bold and Joe decided to play catch with a HUGE pine cone... haha

I would recommend going up there if you ever get the chance, it is one of those places you just have to see!!

Tooele muttin' bustin'

Yeah for kids!!!! My kids love to ride sheep for some unexplainable reason ~ LOL ~ Trey has been riding sheep for 3 of 4 years, but Creed on the other had just started.

I signed both of them up to ride in Tooele's rodeo over the weekend:) All the kids rode before the rodeo and the top six got to come back and ride during the rodeo.

Trey's sheep did a front flip over the top of him but he still managed to make the finals!!!

Creed did awesome, this was only his second sheep EVER. He fell off of course cuz granted he is 3, but he jumped right up and brushed himself off, spit some dirt, and strutted back to the chutes.

Trey did great riding during the rodeo!! He won!!!! He is the 2 time defending champion of the Deseret Peak Rodeo muttin' bustin'!!!! My 'lil buddy got a buckle along with some other goodies :)

We are off to Delta tonight to ride some more sheep!! Good luck!!!

Rodeo's are kicking back up!! I love this time of year, it gives our little family something to look forward to each week, since we are the tag along and follow Bold pretty much wherever he goes. We have went to a few this year already, but the one's in Utah are just starting up. We kicked off the year with a win in Eagle Mountain where Bold was 85 points and won the rodeo. The winner of each event was also awarded with a new .45 pistol from Cabela's!!!! Bold didn't do so well last weekend in Moab, Tooele, or Herriman but there are plenty more rodeo's to hit this summer :)

Vegas May 2011

This past weekend Bold had a rodeo in Vegas, so of course we invited ourselves to go with. We stopped at Mandalay Bay and went to the shark reef... Sting rays we were able to touch as they swam by....

There were so many different kinds of fish... it was really awesome!!!

It was really expensive but now we can say that we have seen it.

We had a great weekend in Vegas, the weather was great, not too hot and a little breezy so it felt just right, we didn't see a whole lot on this trip, but we did stay at Circus Circus and let the kids play all weekend:)

Trey had a school program the other day. Creed, Grandma and I went to Delta to watch. The kids sang and danced in the jungle :)

Trey turned 7 on Saturday!!! We had a great day and a birthday party that night!! Trey got trick candles this year!! fun, fun!!

Trey also so spoiled with tons of awesome presents!!!!

Grandpa and Cindy gave him a card that sang the "Happy Birthday Song".

Of course Creed wanted in on all the action. He was right in the middle of the everything.

Trey had lots of family come and celebrate with him.

Trey got a knife, flashlight, another swiss army knife, a new rope, and toys galore!!!

I was so mean and wrapped his knife in about 6 different boxes so he has to sit and unwrap them all.

We had hot dogs too!!!

I think Trey made a good haul on his presents... It was a great party!! Thanks everyone who came and brought presents!!! Happy Birthday Trey!!

Vegas March 2011

As we know there isn't all that much to see on the way to Vegas, we didn't see much, but we did see a pretty sunset :) Vegas baby!!

We wanted to take the boys to Treasure Island and see the pirate ship, of course Trey wanted to park at the very top of the parking garage, and so that is exactly where Bold parked.

We also hit the M & M factory. Holy choice of colors!!!

Kids were loving the factory.... and the bag of candies they got @ $12.99 / lb. AGH!!!

We had such a good weekend going to the Monster Trucks, spending time with our friends, and playing 21 ha,ha,ha.... Thanks boys for being good.

Monster Truck Finals

These are the remote controlled trucks they had at the pit party, Trey was entranced with watching them, he watched until I had to pull him away!

Trey and Creed taking a break from walking around getting autographs and they found some beanbags to throw around for a while.

There were a couple of cars that were an exact replica of the Hot Wheels cars ~ they were AWESOME!!~~~

We took the boys to Vegas for the weekend to the Monster Truck Finals. It was the coolest thing ever!!! Trey's birthday is next week and this was his present.... I am pretty sure we will be going again, it was one of the coolest things I have ever been to in my entire life :) Even Bold was jumping up and down rooting for them.

Opening ceremonies... complete with fireworks and a fly by airshow from the fighter jets....

It was out at Sam Boyd Stadium in Henderson... It was so AWESOME!!!

CRASH!!!

They started with racing each other over the jumps and then did freestyle where they jumped and did back flips until they crashed or their tires flew off... did I mention that it was AWESOME!?!?!?!?

I sure do love my boys and I am glad I got to spend the weekend with them, it was a short weekend but I will take any time I can get with my boys. We went down there with some friends from Nephi, it was a great weekend spent with them and their kids. Thanks guys for the great weekend :)

I ordered Bold a new coat which came in this box.... Trey and Creed wanted to have it so they colored on it and have been playing with it. Last night Creed was playing in there with his barn set, when bed time came around he said he wanted to sleep in it. Bold broke the box so it would be a little more comfortable. He was asleep in minutes.

Wrestling tournament 2011

I have been taking Trey to Delta almost everyday since the first of February for little league wrestling practice. Last night was their tournament. He is so cute all decked out with his wrestling shoes and his singlet ;) This is the first kid he wrestled. He pinned that kid.

This is the second kid he wrestled.... he pinned him too :)

The third kid was a little more difficult, he tried to pin him but the other kid gave up quite a fight. Trey finally won by points.

And Trey was the Champ!!!! He did so well :) I am always so proud of him he is AwEsSOmE!!! Everyone got t-shirts and metals!!! Trey also got a certificate for being Champion!!! Such a proud moment.

Valentine's dinner

I wanted to do something a little different this Valentine's. I really wasn't in the mood to fight the crowds at the restaurants. I stopped and spent 20 bucks at the store and another 6 at the flower shop for balloons. Bold, the boys and I had a three course meal at home complete with sparkling cider. I turned the lights off and we had a great candlelight dinner :) Happy Valentines Day to my Boys!!! I love you guys.

Grandma Jean

My sweet Grandma passed away Sunday February 6th 2011. She was such a great person and an AWESOME Grandma. She will be missed, and it saddens me that my kids will not grow up knowing her.

Jean Neilson Higgs was born April 30, 1927 in S.L.C. Utah to Ervin Neilson and Elsie Parry Neilson. She passed on Sunday February 6 2011 in American Fork Utah. She graduated from West High school in 1944 and Stevens-Henager business college in 1945. Married Junior Higgs April 17, 1946 in the S.L.C. temple, performed by Harold B. Lee. They would have celebrated their 65 wedding anniversary this year.

Survived by Husband, Junior; children, Terry (Anita) Higgs, Kanosh Ut., Gary (Debra) Higgs, Roy, Ut., Linda (Marvin) Wilcock, Lehi, Ut., and Randy (Chris) Higgs, Modesto Ca. 16 grad-children and 39 great-grandchildren.

Her funeral was in Tooele, it was a great service and I am very grateful my family and Bold could be there to support her. She was buried in the Bluffdale cemetery. Then the luncheon was in Lehi... Love you Grandma!!

Happy Birthday to my sweet Creed :) I am not a fan at all of bakery made cakes, so I always make them myself. They don't always look as spectacular as the bakery ones but they come from the heart :) I am guessing he was having a rough time getting the chair out.. ha,ha,ha. Creed was lovin' his "special chair" complete with his 'roar' balloons.

He got tons of cool presents, thanks to mom and dad and grandparents that love him VERY VERY much.

Trey was so excited all day for Creed's birthday party. He kept asking when it was going to start... he was such a big helper all night ~ pretty much taking charge of everything~, but what are big brothers for???

Here is my sweet birthday boy :) I am so glad the family could get together and help Creed celebrate his birthday! Even his dad made it home from Denver on time to be with us!!

Creed got tons of new stuff for his room. He loves Toy Story 3. We got him a new mattress, sheets, comforter, and curtains ALL TOY STORY 3 :)

School art project

Trey and I were able to make an art project together for his school's 100th day of school celebration. Each student was supposed to make a picture out of 100 somethings....Trey wanted to use macaroni of all things, so that is what we did. He counted them all out and we glued them into a sun, there weren't enough so we decided to do half a sun and make crepe paper for some grass and call it the "sunset". Trey was so proud of it. I sure do love to see him grow and develop into such a cute boy :)

Being the only girl in the house, I do tend to need some help with the housework, luckily my boys don't mind. Trey washed and Creed washed them again.... ha ha ha.

Creed is obsessed with our kitty. Her name is Rambo but Creed will forever call her "his meow-me". He will run and find her everyday, and with a little coaxing she generally lets me catch her. We were watching Trey play the wii and Creed and meow-me fell asleep in the chair :)

Monster Trucks

Bold and I were being lazy Saturday, it was one of those days you just don't know what to do... so we decided we would pack up the boys and go to the monster truck show in W.V.C and the Maverik Center. Our tickets came with the pit pass so we went down there to get the boys' hats signed... I was really surprised Bold actually let us go... usually when I ask him to do something he says we don't have the money or just gives me a "no". The boys were so excited to see all the trucks crash over the cars!!

They even did a "redneck" version of the mud boggin'!

The trucks were HUGE and really really LOUD!!!

I love going on "dates" with my boys!! We had a really fun time.

I think Bold and I were more excited for Christmas this year than the kids!!! Neither one of us could sleep at all last night. Santa Wrapped all our presents this year and put them under the tree... There was so much stuff to put in the stockings Santa had to leave them on the couch :) This post is picture overload but I didn't want to miss anything, it's the highlight of the kids' year. Bold wanted to wake the kids up at around 6 ~ so as you can see it is still dark outside and the kids are a little groggy still...

Santa went over board this year but he sure does love our boys :)

We tried something different this year and had the boys open presents one at a time, it worked alright for a little while...

Santa brought Creed this cute barn, it folds open and has all the farm animals in it... he LOVES it!! He even put his Toy Story woody and horse in there and they are bigger than the barn... how CUTE.

All Trey wanted was this race track, so Santa found it for him. Even Bold and I played with it for a while. We had a really good Christmas, I was a little worried about spending all the money we did, but when Christmas morning came around and we seen the kids faces it was all worth it. We all got spoiled and I am so glad we were able to give are kids a great Christmas. Merry Christmas Everyone!!!

I hope we all are getting in the Christmas mood, I know that we are at my house!!! I think I have spent almost as much money on decorations as I have presents!! I found these cute stocking at walmart.com. I think they are the highlight of my Christmas!!! I was going to hang the old plain ones up and then have Santa bring these filled with all the goodies but when I opened them I couldn't help hanging them up!!!! Bold's is Santa, Mine is Mrs. Clause, Trey's is a moose, and Creed has a bear :)

Yesterday we went down the IFA in Delta to see Santa. The boys were so excited to tell Santa all about their wants.

Trey wants an x box 360.... Not sure where he heard that from??? t.v. maybe??? I told him not to get his hopes up, to maybe ask Santa for a wii....

Creed didn't say much to Santa, but he did tell me that he wants horses.... I think we got that one covered. After they were done Santa gave them each a candy cane.

This weekend we went scouting for our Christmas tree, we were out lookin' when we came across these cute deer. We went clear up in the mountains and it was snowing the whole time, it was so pretty up there :)

After we got the Christmas tree we took Trey and Creed sledding. Trey was doing good until the tumbleweed took him out.

Bold ran back to help Trey out of his face plant and get him back on the sled.

Creed even took a turn on the sled for a while. The boys were so cute and loved hangin' out with mom and dad.

It was so cold for Halloween this year so the boys and I started out early. They were so grown up and walked to the houses all by themselves!! Originally I had Batman and Robin costumes for the boys to wear, but Creed wouldn't wear his Robin costume, good thing I had a spare..... He was Spiderman instead.....

All Trey wanted to be was Batman so I found him this "macho" costume on the internet.

Creed was in a terrible mood the whole night, all he wanted to do was get undressed.....

My wild man Trey got carried away while him and Bold were deer hunting. Trey was in charge of bullets while Bold was running around like an idiot..... Trey got attacked by a sagebrush. When he and Bold got back to the truck he was trying his hardest not to try cuz he was with dad and wanted to be a tough deer hunter!!! He was a trooper and Bold actually shot a deer.... can't wait for the jerky yum,yum. For Halloween Leamington puts on a little party with different stations and prizes you can win, this was Creed's prize at the fishing pond.... I had to post this picture..... My poor sweet Roxy Girl :(

She was born sometime in the Spring a few years ago, lived with Grandpa Spence and Cindy for the first little while of her life and then she moved in with Bold, Trey, Creed and I. She was deceased this morning after trying to make it over to Grandpa's house :( Some random car, truck, or diesel took her away from us. I am really trying to come to terms with this, but it is really hard when she is not only Bold's sidekick, but mine and the boys' as well. She was such a great dog, so loyal and fun loving. She was awesome with the kids but also a great protector and kept us safe. She was also a great cow dog and loved to go wherever my boys and I went. Bold is really going to miss her the most, she went to work almost everyday with him and helped with the farming. Bold left her home this morning because he figured she was sick of riding in the semi with him. She is so used to going to work everyday that she gets bored when Bold leaves and she heads up to Grandpa Spence's to see if he has work for her to do. She has crossed that road thousands of times, she is even somewhat careful about it, ( she never even walked up the road to get there, she always went through the fields and then just had to cross the the road in front of Spence's house.) this time she didn't make it...... I should get over it, but I can't so I must say curse the people who hit her :( I love my Roxy girl and I will always have a special place for you in my heart...

RiJeana and I took the boys to the circus a few weeks ago while Bold was gone Rodeoing, it was really expensive but well worth the 85 dollar tickets!!! The boys had a blast, I only got a few pictures cuz my battery died, but that's what always happens, right??? Trey loved the motorcycles and Creed loved the Tigers.....

Once again I must apologize for the lack of blogging!!! It seems like every since Trey has started school we have been running non-stop to get everything done. I will give you a quick update of the family then I will bring in my computer and post some awesome stuff!!!! We have just finished up co-ed softball( where I happened to take a line drive to the knee cap~~~ yep that was pretty awesome~~~ and it still hurts like the Dickens)... so now we are into co-ed volleyball. I really like to go play it gets me out of the house and among some other adults. Besides it is good exercise!!! Speaking of exercise I have finally lost some weight!!! It was really hard but I did it!!! I have lost almost 15 pounds and am trying my hardest to keep it off.... The boys and I have been on a few adventures but I don't want to give the good stuff away until I have some pictures to go with it.... Let's see... I went with Trey to school last week for his "take your parent to lunch day". Those little stinkers at the school are so cute!!! I even got to go back yesterday to help serve lunch to the third and fourth grade kids and their parents!!! I also had my 27th :) birthday on Saturday..... I went up north with my parents to dinner and then did a little shopping :) I swear I will get going on the picture posts cuz they are the coolest!!!!

I feel like a haven't blogged forever!!!! I don't even know where to start!! Bold and I, his sister and his mom took off to Mesquite last weekend. It was a blast!!! Bold had a rodeo in St. George so we figured we are almost to Mesquite we might as well make a weekend out of it. My mom and dad watched the boys and we headed down for the night. Bold did quite well at the 21 table and he (um, we) walked away 730 bucks richer!!!!! It was a dang good thing I was there to "protect" his winnings!!! We even made enough to stop on the way home and buy some Christmas for the boys and a new t.v. for all of us!!!!! My poor parents and the boys however were at home dealing with all the smoke from the Twitchell Canyon Fire. I took these pictures of all the smoke and the blood red sun!!!

This is phase two of our yard project. We are still working and trying to finish it but when Bold is gone every weekend it turns into a long process. We finally got it leveled and the rocks dumped :) Someday I might have a nice rock border around my yard:)

Bold and I take the boys to the state fair every year. It is always so fun to walk around and go on the rides!!! I took Creed through the "farm" too bad his little feet don't touch the pedals!! Cute little Creeders had his apron on, picking an apple. Do you think he fits right in on the farm???

Not sure what to call this dude and this wild mess, but it was awesome to look at!

This kid is getting quite the personality!!! I love to watch him grow and learn new things. He was being so cute the other day and babbling on in the back seat all the way home, I turned to get a picture and all the sudden he was a bashful little boy ;)

I had a softball game last night and I left Creed home with Bold while Trey and I went. I came home to this, instead of being tucked in bed like I asked, apparently Bold feel asleep and forgot about Creed, he managed to make himself comfy in the middle of my kitchen floor.

Yes, yes, yes, I am getting another year older, and so is my "little boy". After some eventful times in Kindergarten Trey finally made it to 1st grade!!! He has been soooo excited all summer!!! Yesterday was the big day. I took him to back to school night on Tuesday to meet his teacher Mrs. Fowles and see his classroom, then it was off to 1st grade yesterday. He had an excellent first day and loved being at school ( or so he says, after all it has only been one day)... I forgot to take a picture before he got on the bus (all by himself might I add) so he 'posed' for me when he got home!!! I really hope he keeps liking it and keeps wanting to go. Our "LITTLE" Project

Okay our family's little project has now turned into an every weekend, work on it when you can project. I told Bold that we really needed to find a way to cut down on our water bill seems how it was $190.00 last month. So we came up with the idea of putting a border around the house and along the fence...... I really like it, but we still need to finish putting in the ties and filling it with dirt and then rocks. I spaced the fact that I was working on a project with Mr. "I have to have everything perfect" Bold Butler. We worked all day and we only got four or five ties down. Bold was so anal about measuring, cutting and leveling... not to mention the 4 hour lunch he took...Hopefully one day before it starts snowing we will be done, or at least have the rocks down so I can start planting shrubs in the Spring.

My veggies are coming on strong!! The boys and I have been bottling corn the last two Saturdays. Here is Trey showing off the piece of corn Creed managed to shuck.... Creed is so cute he loves to peel back all the husk but always seems to leave the rest for me or Trey to pick off :) We grabbed the wheelbarrow and made an event out of it. This way Trey is able to save all the husks and put them in his "burn pile". Thanks boys for always being willing to help with the "woman's work" :)

I had to throw this picture in, Creed is soooo excited to wait patiently for Trey to help the clown. My cute Trey Dawg got invited by the clown himself to help with the clown act at the Heber City rodeo. We were just walking past trying to find our seats when the clown came up and said he was looking for someone just like Trey who was all "cowboy'd up" to help with the clown act. After a little rehearsal Trey was ready to go. I figured I better go get my camera since this might be a once in a life time opportunity. Here he is waiting for his cue to head out in the arena. Here is one of the best clowns in PRCA Keith Isley doing his thing.

Trey's job was to come in on cue and lead the little pony out of the arena.

The guy with Trey was supposed to be buying a saddle but obviously it was way to big for this little horse, so he took the saddle and left the horse.

The guy walked off with his saddle and Trey stood there waving at the crowd until the announcer said "you have your saddle sold but what about that cute little boy left in the arena?" That's when the clown came back and handed the reins to Trey and told him he could have the little horse....

So Trey took it!!!! Awww he was so cute, these are the moments in life that makes having kids sooo worth it!! He did such a great job!!!

My boys have an addiction: it's called Rodeo. Trey and Creed always like to get on our backs and pretend they are bull riders, but after so long old mom and dads knees and wrists tend to get tired, so my boys resort to the next best thing ~ stuffed animals~

usually after bath a p.j.'s this is the routine at our house. They go get stuffed animals, preferably with long arms and legs and I have to either stuff them down the back of their p.j.'s or tie their feet together around the front of the boys' necks.

Even little Creeders is getting quite good and rearing up and bucking his little "rider" off. Did I ever mention that I sure do love my boys!!

This post is so late, but I didn't have time to post it until today..... A couple Friday's ago Creed had a little accident... He was in the bath splashing around, I was in the bedroom folding laundry, and Trey was in the front room watching t.v. Creed ran out of the bathroom, tripped over my vacuum cord, and face planted the corner of my wall.... All I heard was screaming coming from both boys.... I hurried in there to find BLOOD everywhere!!!! It was all over my wall and my carpet, not to mention running down Creed's face.

This was actually my first 'incident' with blood, which is surprising since I have two wild boys. I started the freak show, I didn't know who to call or what to do. I finally got enough blood cleaned up I could see what happened. Creed had filleted his forehead wide open, it was so deep!! Trey was freakin' out saying Creed was going to die, it was really scary for all of us, but thanks to a good nurse lady in town we got it all fixed up without going to the E.R.

I took this picture yesterday which was a little over two weeks after the accident... It is healing nicely, Creed is going to have one massive scar though.... What a good boy, he just cried for a second after it happened but I think that was because all he could see was blood, it didn't faze him for too long, even when the nurse was stickin' it back together he never made a peep.

Poor kid just had his hair cut the same day he did this awesome job to his head, so his hair doesn't even cover it... Poor 'lil Buckeroo :(

Fishin' again

My boys and I headed up Nebo Loop after Bold got home from rodeoing for the weekend. We definitely are a fisherman family, so much so that instead of buying Bold a present for his birthday my mom always buys both of us a fishing license!! As you can see Creed was being a little stinker, as usual, digging in the lake and digging through the tackle box. (Notice the CUTE pen mark on his cheek, Trey colored so nicely on him before we got in the truck). Both my boys got their "little tyke" camping chairs for Christmas, Trey stays put in his.... Creed not a chance.... We caught a few fish, but threw them all back this time.

Yes, even Roxy goes fishing with us, she is always good to help "babysit" the kiddos.

Poor Bold always gets stuck with baiting and casting ALL of the fishing poles. Poor guy goes to relax and never gets the chance.

Creed has a very short attention span, fishing is no different, he found a "perch".

Pull your hat down real tight, its the best way to keep the sun off your nose.... ha,ha,ha..

Did I fail to mention Trey also got Creed all over the face with the pen???!!!

It was soooo stinkin' hot Saturday, but it was the day to water all the garden and get everything weeded. The boys were out helping for quite awhile, but it got to the point where Creed needed some air conditioning. I thought he would be fine in the house by himself for a while.... I was wrong..... I walked in the check on him and he had gotten all the steak knives and arranged them so cute in the toaster for me. AGH!!!! This kid is a handful!!!

A couple weeks ago we had an awesome wind storm that blew down a bunch of my tree branches. Bold told Trey that if he would go around the yard and pick them up, Trey could starts a fire and burn them. Sunday night he finally got the chance.

Here is a play by play of how this went down.....

picture #1.... I was outside with the boys... I was watering the garden while the boys were playing on the swing set, or so I thought.... Trey was on the swing set.... Creed was chillin' in a bucket of water. I looked over and there he was neck deep in the goats' water bucket, fully clothed taking in the coolness. picture #2.... I told Trey to come and see where Creed was....... Trey was laughing his head off.... as was I. I ran in the house to grab my camera hoping he wouldn't get out before I got back.

#3 No worries.....

and #4..... time to get out..... what a little stinker!!! I just have to add that the next day Trey had t-ball in Lynndyl and Creed of course gets to tag along, we were just about done when Creed found a mud puddle to lay in, I didn't get any pictures because of course I was trying to coach the team but he was plenty muddy and put on a good show for all the spectators. Love you buddy!

Summer

I am LOVING this summer!!! Granted it is plenty hot and there is sooo much going on but I am so glad it's here and we are able to go out and have fun with the kids. I wanted to take some pictures of my flowers and rose bushes. They are in full bloom and I love to see them so full of life!!

I think this rose bush is sooo pretty, I have been watching them bloom for a while, now they are booming with color and I love it.

Even my kitties are growing, they are both doing good and growing like weeds. Pretty soon they will be ready to roam around the yard, I wanted to get a picture of both of them, but the other one is so feisty she just claws at you. This one is Creed's favorite, he is always dragging it around.

Reno

Bold and I were able to go to Reno last weekend for his rodeo. I wasn't sure what to take pictures of because we really didn't go sight seeing or do anything really exciting. We stayed at the Grand Sierra, where they had these horse statues, sweet picture huh? We had a good time, I would definitely do it again.

When Bold and I bought the house there were some slabs of cement that were left, Bold moved them by the fence out of the way.... or so we thought.

Trey was out trying to catch the goat when he whacked the back of his head on them.

A while later we were in the house getting ready for bed and I noticed the back of his head, my first thought was strawberry jam. Trey and I had just made a bunch of freezer jam earlier that day. When I realized he had cracked his head, I started freaking, Trey had no idea that he even did it, he said he had fallen and it hurt a little but didn't realize he was bleeding. I made him get in the bath and wash out the gravel so I could see it better, luckily it wasn't too bad and he is a tough little fellow.

So~ How cute is this stud muffin?!?!?! It was so stinkin' hot the other day, my boys and I decided we were going to "run through the sprinkler". I got Creed all decked out in his swimming trunks and he wouldn't even get wet..... But Trey on the other hand thought it was a great idea, for about five minutes anyway....

then he decided the swings were fun....

then back to the water..... Hey, at least I tried to find some entertainment for the boys :)

Buckle

I think I had the worst week of my life last week. I have known for a few weeks now that the 4th of June was soon approaching, which was the worst day by far this year. It all started about a month ago when I had the worst tooth ache in my entire life!!! I have been waiting almost 10 years for the day to finally arrive, I had to get my wisdom teeth out!!!! I haven't done it yet because I was completely terrified, but they got to the point where I didn't have a choice.

Bold was kind enough to take me up to Provo, we spent the afternoon yanking my wisdom teeth out. It was AWESOME!!! It's a week later and I am still feeling the after effects of my decision.

In the meantime, Trey was already signed up to ride a sheep in Tooele's rodeo. I thought I would be fine to go and watch Trey and his dad do their thing, but after the procedure, there was no way I was going to make it very far from my bed. Trey didn't let me down though, he came home with the giant buckle. HE WON THE SHEEP RIDING!!!! I am not just talking one ride here people!!! He made the finals and got to get on two sheep and he won!!! Sorry I missed it buddy, but you will one day understand that getting your wisdom teeth out kinda puts a damper on your day, I am so proud of Trey!!

Memorial Weekend

My boys and I FINALLY got out of the house a spend a few days in the REAL world. Bold, Trey, Creed, and I headed out for a little fishing. Our first stop was in Peoa... where is that you might ask?!?!.... It's up by Kamas, Bold had a bucking horse futurity there on Saturday. Then we headed down to Far West where Bold's friends' dad cooked us some BBQ then we were off to Hooper where we spend the night @ Ty's and Ann's. We were up bright and early Sunday morning to get a little fishing in. We headed up East Canyon (It's up by Morgan), and we fished our little hearts out. Trey and Bold caught quite a few fish, me on the other hand, didn't fair so well. After a while the kids were getting restless so we decided to head down to Morgan to get something to eat. Of course Bold was not finished fishing so we headed back up the canyon, in a different spot and fished until dark. We did take all our camping stuff with us on the mini vacation, but we never did get it out of the back of the truck, after Creed fell in the lake, we decided it would be best to get a hotel room and call it an evening. We stayed in Ogden, while we were getting ready for bed, Trey came up to me and showed me he had something on his tummy...... yep, it was a TICK!!! Luckily it wasn't buried in yet and Bold was able to get it out without incident. (Yes, Trey attracts ticks, this is his second experience with them.) Monday morning we woke up and headed to CAL Ranch, where everyone, including myself got something new!!!!! I was on a money spending spree!!! Trey and Creed got new cowboys boots, Bold got some pairs of pants and I bought me a new shirt. After our shopping spree we headed to Eagle Mountain to Bold's rodeo. It was great to get out and be with my boys!!! I love you guys!!! Sorry, I didn't get any pictures, it was a full time job chasing my boys around.

There were some good times, and there were some not so good times, but Trey finally made it through Kindergarten ;)!!!! I am so excited for him, he is a great student and a great 'lil boy. I am really proud of all the things that he has learned this year. He is even reading books!! I had to take a picture of his last day of school, now keep in mind, he really doesn't look that silly, just whenever I happen to take a picture!! Love you buddy!! First grade here he comes!!!!

Vegas BABY!!!

Finally!!! After three tries I FINALLY made it to Vegas for more than 5 minutes!!! I took the kids down last weekend just for the fun of it.... It was really nice to get away and spend some time with them. We stayed at Circus Circus so the boys would have something to do. This is our view from the 26th floor!! I know kind of lame... Speaking of lame... Guess who we saw in Vegas?!?!? Yep, Spongebob!! (I strongly dislike Spongebob, but the kids LOVE him!!)

I took the kids to Vegas on Friday, Bold was busy rodeoing so I figured he would miss out on the trip, but he showed up at about 4:00 Saturday morning from Arizona.

The boys wanted to go swimming in a bad way, this is Creed shying away from the camera, no surprise there...

I was really glad when their dad showed up, cuz then I didn't have to get in the pool.... surprise to me.... Bold volunteered to take them. Creed was a bit skeptical of the pool, but we all had fun on our mini vacation. Trey was even able to rides some rides and we of course hit Hellderado Days (Bold's rodeo) on Saturday night!!

Kindergarten Field Trip

A couple weeks ago Trey had a field trip out to the sand hills and Creed and I were able to go play and have lunch with him. Creed was enjoying playing in the sand with the toys that I bought for the boys to play with. It was kind of nice cuz it had rained the day before so the sand was nice and wet underneath the top layer, it made for good sand castles :)

Trey is somewhere with all these kids!! I never did see him until it was time to go.... he was busy playing with all his friends.

This is the only picture I got of Trey... he loved rolling down the hill. Creed and I had a great time spending the day with Trey and his little Kindergarten friends!!

Our cat Gunsmoke had kitties last week, they are so cute, we had three but I think one of them was a runt cuz she didn't make it. We have a black one and one that looks just like its mommy!! She takes care of them in the windowsill, which was a very smart idea, I think she knows that I have two very active boys that would love to hold, cuddle, and smother them. My boys have to check on them in the morning and then again at night. It's kind of nice that she had two of them so each of the boys can have one. I sure hope they survive or I just might have to heart broken little boys on my hands :)

K I'm Givin' In......

So Bold and I have been thinking about getting a car for him to travel to his rodeos. But being a tightwad like I am it has been all talk for about 2 years now. Well... the other day I had to take Trey down to school in Delta and I passed Sahara motors..... I seen a car there that really caught my eye...

It is a Chrysler 300m. I told Bold he better go look at it, and of course he loved it, (cuz his wife has a good eye for flashy things) {wink, wink}.. anyway.... after considering we would actually have to fork over money to buy it plus insurance.... WE BAUGHT IT!!! Of course it is used but, I think it will be just perfect for Bold to haul around his buddies in. It is such a roomy car and great for family traveling...even if it kinda looks like a granny car, I still love it!

She's finally here!!

Just wanted to clarify the title of my post.... I am not pregnant and even if I was the odds of having a girl are highly against me.... having that said..... Our horse had her baby on the 8th of April!!! She is such a CUTIE!!!

She looks just like her mommy except the baby has a while forehead.

AWE...HOW SWEET!!! I just need to come up with a good and fitting name for this little princess! I am already in love with her, can't wait to be able to pet her.

Smile or not to smile

Can I just say that I LOVE MY BOYS!!! But, sometimes getting them to smile for the camera is a challenge. Every time I go to snap a picture they turn their heads, duck and cover, or run far far away..... This is a picture of Creeders at Trey's soccer game, I wanted to get a picture of his new haircut!!! He looks so grown up now!!! I was wanting to take a picture of the front, but of course as I was taking it he turned his head, go figure...

This is another attempt at getting a picture, but as you can see it didn't go as planned, he was saying: "nooooooo" as he was trying to grab my camera.

This is the only picture I could get of Trey Dawg and his haircut. He wanted his head shaved bald, and there was no way I was going for that, so I made it a happy medium: it's a bowl cut.

I just don't understand my kids!!! In this picture which was the day before we went to soccer, Creed was all about getting his picture taken..... I guess we all have our mood swings :)

I figured I should take my camera to the last soccer game of the season. Can't ever have too many pictures of your kids!!!

I am kind of glad soccer is over, I was starting to feel like I was spending more time chasing Creed off the field than watching Trey. This picture is before the game started and Trey and his buddy Hudson were kicking the ball around. Creed was right in the middle of course....

I figured if the game hasn't started I would just let Creed run around with the boys and kick the ball. It was so cute, he was definitely giving it his all... he is going to be quite the ball player!

Sometimes during the game Trey thinks that it is important to stop and socialize instead of kick the ball.

And then other times..... he is quite aggressive and scores the goals!!! I am so proud of Trey he is so good at whatever he does, this was his first year of soccer, and I think he did really well!! Soon as school is out we will be on to t-ball which is his FAVORITE SPORT EVER!!!

I'm a slacker

It has been hard lately to post the AwESoMe happenings at our house. I feel like such a slacker.... Anyway, my biggest problem is that I rarely have a good enough internet connection to stay on long enough to upload pictures (one of these days I will break down and buy an internet subscription, but until then I have to mooch off the neighbors, and I think they must have rearranged their furniture... ha,ha). Well we haven't been up to a whole lot. Bold is still going to rodeo's and working. He is gone almost constantly, but I don't mind. Trey had his 6th birthday on the 2nd of April. He is growing into an outstanding young man. I love him lots. Both my boys got haircuts, and they look so grown up now. They were starting to look like lost children, so I gave in and cut their hair.....(which I regret every time I do it, but I guess it's got to be done at some point every year.) *pictures to come* We also welcomed a new addition to the Butler family..... Our horse had her colt on or around the 8th of April!!!! I haven't gotten close enough to get any pictures, let alone to see if it was a Philly or not but "she" sure is CUTE!!! I will get some pictures this weekend and post!!! Spence branded his calves this weekend and Trey was out there "helping", he had his chaps on and his rope, roping the calves, I wish I would have taken some pictures but I didn't. Other than that we have just been truckin' along waiting for something exciting to happen so I can take more pictures!!!
