Happy Thanksgiving Everyone!
I think we should all take a minute just to sit a think of a few things we have in our lives that we are the most thankful for. A lot of times Thanksgiving gets passed up in the bussle of the holiday season approaching. I just want to take a few moments and recognize what I am thankful for....
First would be my boys. I always wondered how someone could love more than one child at a time, but it is so easy because they have two different personalities, wants, and needs. I love each of them for who they are. Trey is so fun, he will be five in April and he loves any type of excitement ( and more than likely, he is right in the middle of it). Then there is Baby Creed, he is going to be a tough little guy, Trey is constantly hitting, pushing, and taking things away from him. Creed is soooo persistant, he will do whatever it takes to just reach that toy he wants... he is such a easy-going little man. I am sooo thankful for that also, both my boys were really really good babies. ( For those who know me well, I am very impatient when it comes to children--- thank you teachers---).
Second would be my parents, I wasn't to fond of them in high school, but as I am getting older I am constantly reminded of how much I depend on them, I am always calling to get a recipe, how to do this or that, advice, and the one I am most thankful for... calling on them when I need a babysitter. I am thankful for all they have taught me growing up, from how to work hard to the gospel. I really do love them and I appreciate all the help they have offered to my little family.
I am thankful for my hubbie. He works so hard to take care of us. We may not have much, but what we do have is ours (except the house, but we are in the process of buying.) I really admire the way Bold gets up everyday, he never complains, and heads to work for a 12-14 hour day. I LOVE HIM so much. I enjoy watching him with the kids. He is such an amazing dad.
I am thankful for a roof over my head, heated water, and a car. I know that sounds crazy but I am totally in love with my car, I am so glad that I have transportation.
I am thankful for a steady income, I love my job. It pays well, and its not too demanding. I am thankful that my hubbie also has a job.
I am thankful to have family so close, I love to see my nieces and nephews as often as I can. I love them all so much.
The thing I am most thankful for is our health, I am so thankful that our kids were born strong and healthy, with all their body parts functioning how they should. We really haven't had too many health issues, (long term anyway, we have had our share of trips to the ER). I am thankful that with Bold riding those bucking saddle bronc's that nothing major has happened to him. I am constantly reminded how in any instant that your life may be gone. I almost think we have to have a close call in order for us to realize that life is precious and we need to cherish every minute with our kids and family. We had a close call last February with Bold's nephew, and are really fortunate to still have him with us. After that accident it kind of puts your life into perspective that anything could happen at any time. So live life as if everyday is your last!
There are so many more things that I am thankful for ( just about everything that I have). These are just a few that stick out in my mind.
