A Look Back At 2008

• January

We welcomed baby Butler #2 to our family. Creed Binx Butler was born Thursday, January 24th 2008. 6:15 p.m. 8 pounds 9 ounces.

• February

My hubbie turns the big 25!!!!

We loose our sweet Kelly in an automobile accident (We miss you) (Feb. 21)

We nearly loose Bryer in the accident... which puts into perspective how prescious life is. (Feb. 21)

Baby colt Chunkie Dunkers is born on February 28th

• March

Trey wins his first ever Mutton Bustin' entry!! (he recieves a plaque and belt buckle at the Golden Spike Arena in Ogden).

Easter weekend..... Fishing and Vernon Res.

My Trey turns the big #4!!!

• May

First official rodeo of the season (Memorial Weekend, Herriman, Utah)

• June

Bold wins Tooele rodeo on the first horse out during the rodeo!!!

Days of the Old West Rodeo in Delta, Trey again Mutton Bustin' , Bold rode saddle bronc

Whitaker family reunion..... paintball up Kanosh Canyon.... Bold getting wiped out by a tree branch (ha, ha)..... Bold is left with a NICE scar across his cheek!

4th 0f July celbrated in Fillmore (Trey loved the games)

Ute Stampede Rodeo, (Trey loved the carnival) Bold again rode saddle bronc

24th of July in Kanosh..... Parade, lunch in the park, and games for the kids

• August

Higgs family reunion in Tooele..... lunch, bingo, and swimming at the pool

August 27th Bold and Randi's 3rd year anniversary!!! Did absolutely nothing to celebrate it!!!

• September

Labor Day Weekend....The Butlers travel to Blackfoot Idaho for Bold's IMPRA finals..... stay in hotel, play the Idaho lottery (didn't come out ahead), went to the fair...... baught a $5 stroller at the D.I., Bold won some money and Rookie of the Year!! In the meantime.... Leamarado Days was going on in Leamington without Bold.

State Fair... always a blast, Bold rode a saddle bronc again

Randi turns the big 25!!

Bold makes it to the Wilderness Circuit Finals at #9 in the circuit!!!! He placed 4th in the average and come home with some money!!!!! We stayed in the hotel for 3 days in Ogden. Trey and Bryer went swimming!!!

Halloween..... Creed's first official Halloween.... Trey was the red power ranger and Creed was a cute little Turtle.... this year we headed to Kanosh to trick-or-treat.

Trey wins his first ever wrestling tournament!!!

Somewhere in the course of this year we went everywhere from Herriman, Tooele, Lehi, Ogden, Idaho, Tremonton, S.L.C., Heber City, Cedar City,( Bold landed on his head.... not good), Moab (fun trip... no kids), California, Evanston, Delta, Pleasant Grove, Logan, Vernal, St. George, and Nephi....and more that I forgot..... Bold rides saddle bronc's when he is not working, he loves to ride and I love for him to win, I love watching him do something he loves, he did really well this year, he won more money this year than he ever has in the past. I am so proud of him!!

Sometime during the year we were able to end up with 5 new horses, squish our favorite dog Ozzy, but gain another dog.... Roxy, kill off a pet bird.... gain two more, be able to have a little extra $ for Bold to rodeo, buy him a new set of riding chaps ( Clint Robison hand made them, they look awesome), buy Bold a new Moppin bronc saddle, go fishing many many times, go camping out to Vernon Res. (favorite fishing and camping stop!!!), miss the sign ups for Oakley's rodeo.... thanks a lot Ty, miss the sign-ups for the deer hunt, miss Leamardo Days, Trey got a tick in his leg, and Randi gets a kidney stone.

Some things that turned out all right this year.... we have baby Creed here and healthy, we were able to apply for a home loan, (waiting for the go ahead... and it's killing us), kids are both healthy, no broken bones, minimal trips to the E.R., our family has a roof over our heads, and two running cars... (3 actually), jobs, and most importantly each other!!
