Last night I helped Bold carry his very HEAVY spur board down stairs so he will be able to practice on it without being outside in sub-zero temps. It is just a few pieces of wood nailed together with some old carpet over it. Then Bold puts his saddle bronc saddle on it and ties his buckin' rein to a piece of wood and he goes to town spurring. It is actually really good practice. It helps him spur straight and keep his toes pointed out. Trey LOVES to watch his dad, today after school he wanted to get his spurs, chaps, and gear on so he could practice too.
