About a month ago I got Bold, the boys, and I tickets to ride the Heber Valley Railroad down the canyon. I called my mom to see if she had ever ridden it, and what her take on the ride was..... she said she took my older brothers up there to ride it when they were little but there was a forest fire and they never got to ride it. She wanted me to get her a ticket to go too.... so I had to call back and get 1 more.... then the day before we were supposed to go, Bold informed me that he couldn't go.... so I invited my dad to go with us....
We bought the long train ride that winds down canyon and stops for a few minutes at Vivian Park. We bought a lunch on the train and ate our sandwiches at the Park.
My boys waiting for the train to start loading....
My dad was showing Trey all the cool stuff as we passed....
and Creed sat by me so I couldn't see anything as we passed.....LOL
If you didn't know, the farmers in Heber City like to grow dandelions instead of hay, just kidding....
We got "robbed" on the train, and Creed got some "money" from the train robbers....
This is a picture of the river as you drive up to Heber City.
And that cool little tunnel that you drive through....
This are a couple pictures of Deer Creek Res. It was a nice 3 hour ride, my mom really did go, I don't know why I didn't get any pictures of her... weird... anyway, after we got off the train we went to Lehi and watched my nephew, Hunter at his baseball game, then off to Sams Club to get my 10 gallons of milk :) It was a fun trip with the parents and something a little different to do with the kids.
